Opera Creations (a.k.a. Nuance Lyrique) is an opera company formed in 2010 by local, professional musicians who collectively bring world-class skill in opera performance and instruction.  We are Simone Vigilante, Karen Svites, Randall Outland, and Vance Reese.

Our mission is to share musical expertise through entertainment and education and to create opportunity for local performers.  Our season begins with our mainstage production featuring a cast of professional mentors and college/high school apprentices working side by side to create the art of performance.  In the summer, we capture middle and high school age singers in our fully staged and costumed, youth summer operettas.  These productions take accessible stories and applies them to the music of Mozart, Gilbert and Sullivan, Rossini, Smetana and Offenbach.  

Our collaboration all began seven years ago, with the outstanding success of our own original drama, The Dueling Sopranos. In the story, Simone and Karen go to great lengths to compete for stardom while the audience rolls on the floor in uncontrollable laughter.  The rest of our season is filled with musical revues, school collaborations, private performances, fundraisers and master classes for the young singer and the adult amateur singer.  Most importantly, all of this singing and learning must be done with lots of laughing!
